The Story of Hope Street
“There is no way to share my vision and drive to create Hope Street without sharing, briefly, my story. My daughter, Sierra, struggled with substance use disorder for several years before passing away at the age of 21. At one point, in her battle with the disease, she returned to Walla Walla from inpatient treatment. We knew sober living would offer the best place for her to grow in her recovery. However, Walla Walla didn't offer the type of home that she needed, one with additional support and accountability.
That gap in services is what I set out to fill with Hope Street. Women in the Walla Walla Valley need the option for safe, affordable sober living. They should be surrounded by a community of women who want to see them succeed and encourage them to grow. They need to know they are worthy of living in a beautiful home. Ultimately, I want these women in our community to find the long-term recovery that I so desperately wanted for Sierra. Though it is born out of loss and heartbreak, Hope Street will change lives and futures for women just like my precious girl.”
